D. Gray-Man: Rebirth pt 2

Night 2: Hevlaska
After the other guests leave the girl approaches the circle of three people in white and gold coats, which are in a heated debate and overhearing the tall blond woman's remark" She cannot be the wielder of Sariel the Creator. She's just too youn…," The blonde woman turns at the sound of approaching feet and sees a girl of about sixteen with raven colored hair in an emo style, she wore a white tank-top and grey cargo pants, both of which had seen better days. "Um… did you want to talk to me?" the girl asks, at that moment she looks up into Malikai's eyes and sees a girl who looks almost like her, slump into a pair of arms, then her vision gets blurry. When her eyes come into focus she's in a clearing wielding a grim sythe and grotesque corpses litter the ground around her, and something that has the likeness of a samurai with a blade for its right arm, stood, motionless, erupts in flames and blood. She jumps back to avoid the blood and the sythe disappears in a small flash of light, at this moment she blacks out and wakes up on a small, uncomfortable bed. "What happened?" she says weakly, a reply comes from above her in a smooth calming voice, "You just had an experience of pain an hatred from another person's point of view… and memories." Now having time for her eyes to adjust, she sees the three people in the white coats, and the smallest of the three, the red-headed one, holding her head with both hands with his eyes closed, he then asks her name, "My name is Crystal Anna Jackson," Crystal says in a rush. She starts to say more but the blonde stops her with a finger on her lips and tells her, "No need for more information, we know Aaron. I used to work with him, you never met me though, I never was around when he brought you to work with him, I'm General Kimiko Inuzuka." The man standing next to her toggles his glasses so they become white reflecting the light and announces, "I am General Blake Poindexter, head of Research and Development here at the Order. I'm also the smartest person here." He ends triumphantly. 'Dork much,' they all think in unison, then the one holing her head opens his eyes to look at her and smiles saying, "I'm Grand General Xavier Malikai, we met earlier, remember?" as he said this he cocks his head to the side and closes his eyes again and kept smiling. Then she remembers his face and voice from the incident in the showers, "S-s-sorry for my intrusion earlier, Xavier," Crystal stammers in embarrassment. Kimiko looks at Malikai with a questioning gaze and he meets it with a smile that said 'I'll tell you later' and says to Crystal, "Please call me Malikai or Grim, Xavier was my father, and don't worry about earlier. You don't know how the Order is set up, yet. So it wasn't a problem. I'm sorry for not introducing myself then, but it doesn't matter now does it?" he offers to her, so she wouldn't be embarrassed any more than she was already. "Right, anyone else have a nickname?" Crystal asks, "I prefer Anna to Crystal," She finishes sheepishly. The blonde sweeps her hair with a flourish, "I prefer to be called Kimi, I don't have a reason,""Ok thats good to know, it's nice to meet you all... um Malikai? Why do you like being called Grim?""It's my Innocence, I wield a sythe and have other powers like the grim reaper," Malikai says smiling, "Kimi uses a deck of cards that form into different weapons, and Blake uses a crossbow, when we pry him out of the lab," Malikai continues looking at Blake, Blake just smiles and shrugs it off, "Well we best be going to see Hevlaska, can you move?" At this point Malikai lets go of Anna's head and steps back, Anna gets up and paces around to get her footing back then she looks at Malikai with a questioning stare then asks, "Hev- whata?" Malikai chuckles and responds, "Hevlaska, she is the oldest exorcist in the Order. She was around during the second appearance of the Thousand-Year Duke, or as we refer to commonly, the Millennium Earl, and she holds the same status now as she did then, holder of the unused Innocence," he finishes stoutly and turns to the door and walks out down a long hall, the others are racing to keep up due to his long and quick stride, "Umm i have to ask, where are we?" Anna inquires sheepishly, Kimiko replies, "We are currently in the east basement heading for the central basement to see Hevlaska, the east basement is the medical and schooling center, as we pass this set of double doors we pass the only library here... Malikai has the bookman returned from his travels?" "No, I got a message this morning stating he will return shortly, but he said he may be delayed by a storm, so i would expect him in a week or so," "Ok new question, who or what is a bookman?" All three generals laugh at that, Blake recovers first and answers, "Bookman are people who record things from a neutral standpoint, we have one here who also weilds Innocence, like Bookman and Lavi during the second stage, but has little contact with us exept Grim," "O...k..." they keep walking in silence till they reach a dead-end with what seems to be an open elevator, Anna asks if they are going up but Malikai smiles, shakes his head, and points down. The doors open and they all step in then start going down for a few minutes the whole time Anna is looking around the elevator and finds it's really just a floating platform which now comes to a gentle stop, Malikai speaks as the other two back off and push Anna upto the rail, "Hevlaska will now examine you to see about your Innocence, do not be afraid," as he tells her not to fear she gets scared of what will happen, then at that moment ghostly tendrils rise frome the darkness and grasp Anna , she opens her mouth to scream but there is just silence. Then a huge ghostly form rises out of the darkness, as this happens Anna closes her mouth and a calm comes over her but she doesnt know why, then the form speaks in a haunting voice, "Anna you will fear the darkness but there is one there that will save you, but always cast your light in front of you and you will never falter," after saying this a small cube circled by two gears rises from the creature's bowels and is thrown upwards out of her mouth, Anna stands upon the creature's tendrils, now making a platform for her, and cups her hands and catches the cube. Light fills the room, blinding the entire group, when the light diminishes Anna is back standing on the platfom with the others and a small light flits about her like an bright insect. Malikai watches the tiny light, "Anna try something for me, concentrate on the light and will it to do something," "What? how do I do that? Just think it?" Malikai nods and Anna closes and feels for the tiny speck with her mind, the light stops and she reaches out and wispers, "Activate," and then appears a sword made of light, "Wow," they all say in unison and then Anna opens her hand and the sword dissappears amd the little fairy comes out of her hand and lands on Anna's shoulder, "Well it seems you can use Number 113," Malikai states, "General Anna."   

"General Anna? What do you mean?" Anna asks in a rush, Malikai responds, "You wield Innocence Number 113 one of the four created to replace the faulty Innocence after the destruction of the Heart, the others now work since we have the Four Purified Innocences which are the ones we four wield, Death, Lifes Gambit, Hunters Assistant, and The Light," as he names the Innocences he points at himself, Kimi, Blake, and Anna respectively, "They arrived after Lenalee destroyed the Heart to kill the Earl, Allen found a box from Lenalee for him in his room in the Dark Order, when he opened it and all the non-working Innocences came to life again and he held visions of destruction in the future. He told only those that were at the final battle, Lavi, Kanda, Miranda, and Alister, all of them were amazed at this but were even more amazed when Komui called and asked all of them to go to see Hevlaska, When they arrived they saw Hevlaska held every Innocence exept the ones still held by exorcists, plus she now had four new slots, Allen reached in his coat and removed four gear-encircled cubes of Innocence and held them up, Hevlaska took them to keep, but when each of us were born they dissappeared, exept yours, and were placed in each of our care. There were originally two types of Innocence, Parasite and Equipment, One is attached to the wielder and is very rare and the other explains it self and is very common, then after a massive fight Crystal was discovered, It is the better version of Equipment and all Equipment has a chance to become Crystal. Now we have the Pure type which is what we wield, the idea is we each wield angel's powers, I was unlucky and recived the darkest of them, Death; Kimi recived Gabriel's deck and gambles her life in every fight... Blake recived Michael's crossbow, nothing stands against it exept the Earl, and Sariel was a beacon to the Heavens, he wielded the purest of God's power, light, and you have recived him.," Malikai finishes his speech with a sigh and looks at Anna if she has any questions, she just looks away distantly letting the information sink in, Malikai looks back at Hevlaska and asks about Sariel but she tells him she knows nothing about that Innocence and both fall into a contemplative trance, Kimi looks dumbfounded and angry, and Blake kept muttering to himself then Anna just played with her little fairy, then she looks at the gostly creature and states, "So im guessing you're Hevlaska?" the form looks at her and replies, "Yes I am, forgive me if I startled you, but I must examine each exorcist before they enter the field. You are good to fight you just need some training," "Thank you, Hevlaska, now we need to get some sleep, Anna your training begins the day after tomorrow, rest up, and get ready to hate us three for awhile," Malikai smiles evily and moves the elevator up and they exit at the top but goes to the west basement and take a flight of stairs down, Malikai and Blake go left in the corridor and Kimi turns right and bekons Anna, "Anna the women sleep in different dorms ours is over here, one of the others has made you a bed, but soon  you will sleep in the same area as me, exorcists, finders, staff, and civilians have seperate quarters, For now you will be in the civilian quarters untill we resituate you in the Exorcists quarters," then they walk down a hall with two sets of stairwells, the right one was marked Exorcists/Finders and the left was marked Staff/Civilians. Anna says goodnight to Kimi and they go down seperate stairs and Anna is shown to her room by another woman and she lays down in her bed, kicks her sneakers off and promtly goes to sleep with dreams of the events of the day.
